Business Overview
Paige Davidson Studio is a gallery featuring the paintings, drawings, and pottery of Gainesville native, Paige Davidson. The historic building from 1897, previously home to Davidson’s grandfather’s auto-part store from the 40s-60s, is a quirky space with an original sarsaparilla mural from the dry goods store of the 1800s and motor oil-stained wooden floors. Davidson’s art has been featured in television and film. The space also is home to Davidson’s handbag collection, Cahoots Handbags, which are handmade in small batches from unused vintage textile such as 1930s feed sacks, 60s airline upholsteries, 50s drapery fabrics and 60s sculpted velvet upholsteries. The lovingly, locally-crafted gifts and art are complimented by other creative gifts, art supplies, and other lines created by artisans and maker friends. Davidson’s hope is that by walking in to this space, you’ll be inspired to add some color and creativity to your life. The gallery and Davidson’s work have been featured in magazines such a Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, In Her Studio, Where Women Create, Brides of North Texas, 360 West, Jane, Lucky, and the Dallas Morning News.
